Our little girls are growing up fast.

Kenzy is already 22 inches tall and 12 pounds.
Today she sat in the Bumbo for the first time.
She's smiling all the time and awing at us!

Kalena is talking all the time now.
Its so great to have little conversations with her.
She loves playing "red stop" green go"

Her current favorite phases are:
No way
"O"
I'm not in trouble I'm good girl
You're my friend
Teeny Tiny (this is what she's been calling Kenzy, when she's not calling her Kenzy Kai)
I said No

Fall Festivies

Kalena and Kenzy have been enjoying themselves this fall.

We all have gone to the pumpkin patch several times. Kalena would always pick out a tiny pumpkin to give to Kenzy.

Halloween was so much fun. Our little girls were the cutest ladybugs!
Kalena enjoyed her Halloween party at school with her friends: Annebelle, Joey, Vianadee, Morgan, and Jaxson. They got there faces painted, jumped in the bounce house, and had balloon animals made.

On Halloween we went trick or treating with the Greene's and Aunt Danyen and Uncle Donny. Kalena and Danyen got some good candy. Even with the bugs out that night Kalena was all about "more" trick or treating.

Kalena Update 3.5yrs old

Its hard to believe that Kalena is already 3.5yrs old. Our little girl has been growing up fast. Her baby sister Kenzy should be here any day.

Update Info:
-KJ is potty trained (expect for at night)

-KJ is using a lot more words and is good at being a "parrot"

-Some of KJ's favorite words right now are: what are you doing?, bell blanket, no accidents, saying "me" with a laugh, when asked who likes ____, I do it, I pick out

-KJ loves watching Netflix's on our TV and iPhones: she watches Dora, Diego, Cat in the Hat, some Dolphin movie, and recently we added My Big, Big Friend

-KJ just finished up three rounds of swim lessons, she is not a fish yet, but by the end of the lessons she was doing amazing.. She likes to wear her goggles, do bubbles, ice cream scoops, pass 1.2.3 and the up/down

-KJ food choices have slowly been going down hill, our little vegetables/fruit eater is now becoming a picky toddler.. we are working on getting our good eater back.. at least yogurt isn't that bad for you since she loves that

Kalena's 3-year update

Sorry for the delay with Kalena's 3-year update, but as most of you know I was working on her 3 movies.. "Kalena's life 2008, 2009, and 2010"
We hope everyone that got the movies in the mail is enjoying them.

Kalena and her parents have been busy since her 3-year checkup. Kalena is great at communicating, but when it comes to communicating with words she's a little limited. We had decided to have her tested after she turned 3 in case she was just being shy. In order to have her evaluated for speech she first had to pass a hearing test. This took a couple different visits, because hearing tests on young children is not easy. Once we got set up with a pediatric audiologist she passed the hearing test with no problem.
Then we moved on the the speech evaluation. We learned that's not necessarily her speech has much as its weak mouth muscles. The weak muscles making saying certain sounds and words difficult. Her word knowledge was 98% for her age group ( :) ). We now go to therapy sessions once a week to strengthen these muscles and work on speech. She has only gone a few times and there is already a big improvement.

Kalena is very close to being potty trained. She has #1 down, but is having difficulty with #2. Hopefully by summer she'll have this worked out.

She is up to 32 pounds and around 37 inches tall.

Kalena is understanding more each day about her baby sister on the way. She understands that Baby Kenzy is in mommy's belly (and only mommy's belly). We just moved her to her new bedroom that she is going to share with Kenzy and she seems excited about the change.

Green Meadows Farm

Green Meadows Farm - Feb. 22, 2011

We had a great time visiting the Green Meadows Farm in Kissimmee. We enjoyed the day with the Greene Family and Stephanie & Natalie.

Kalena FINALLY rode a pony!! She insited on riding the white pony, good thing it was Colin in up for the white one and not another kid or it could have been bad.

She got to hold a rooster, baby chicken, baby duck, and gennie pig.

She got to pet a rabbit and mini pony.

She loved feed the goats.

Marli got to milk a cow, Kalena decided she wanted to go to the playground during the cow.

Kalena went on her first hay ride!

January Update

Kalena is enjoying going to "preschool" during the day. They say she is pretty close to potty trained there. Once she is potty trained and 3 she will move to the next class with 3 to 3.5 year olds.
However, her potty training at home isn't going as well. But, its not going bad either. She's just not going :( Hopefully by this time next month she'll be trained.

Kalena's current favorite movie is Dumbo. (and Snow White)

She loves wearing clothes with zebras, elephants or giraffes.

She is enjoying her easel she got for Christmas. We paint and draw a lot now.

We have made our dining room into an "education room." We put up the alphabet, number, days of the week, etc on the walls. She has her easel, a table, and shelves in there. We have moved all the learning books into there and kept all her other books in her bedroom. She has been enjoying the new space.
